The Department of Chemical Engineering at Penn State University is seeking to fill a postdoctoral position. The post-doctoral research associate will examine the electronic structure of organic electronic materials using computational methods, specifically tight-binding models. The tight-binding model will be used to model phenomena including exciton and polaron transport, exciton separation, and the effect of polymer structure on these processes. Computational work will include use of high performance computing resources at Penn State, and extensive use of Mathematica. The researcher will also analyze results in their relationship to other work in the literature, and prepare results for dissemination in presentations and peer reviewed publications. Applications must be submitted electronically and include a cover letter and CV. Review of applications will be begin immediately and continue until a suitable candidate is found.
