Full job description
The post-doctoral fellow will focus on translational immunotherapeutics, most specifically chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells, for central nervous system (CNS) tumors with a focus on diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), diffuse midline glioma (DMG), and atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor (ATRT). The role will focus on biological and immunologic studies to assess CAR T cell function with an aim toward finding combinatorial partners to enhance their function or work synergistically to improve efficacy.
The fellow will have the opportunity to gain experience in a translationally focused lab and to work with an international group of collaborators as part of multiple neuro-immunooncology working groups led by the PI. This role would include the opportunity to present work to national and international research groups, showcase work at national and international conferences, actively work to design projects and build collaborations, and partner in leading laboratory studies.
This role will include the opportunity to write abstracts and manuscripts (reviews, primary research, clinical trial results, etc.), as well as take part in individual or laboratory grant writing.
Required Education and Experience
Doctorate degree (PhD/DVM/MD) in specialty area from an accredited university training program. Experience using basic research techniques of specialty area.

Previous experience conducting research in the pediatric arena. Experience in protocol and manuscript development and in grant writing.
Compensation Range
$65,478.00 - $98,571.00 per year
Salary Information
This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
