JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering seeks applicants for a Postdoctoral Scholar position focusing on cementitious materials. Required qualifications include:

  • Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field

  • Extensive research experience in concrete materials

  • Familiarity with specifications and standards related to concrete materials

  • Strong track record in scientific contributions supported by peer-reviewed publications

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities for the position include performing research toward development and evaluation of the next generation hybrid high volume fly ash binders and concretes, executing other potential Federal or State sponsored research projects, supervision of graduate student(s) in these projects, leading the authorship of journal publications and project reports, and assisting in preparation of future research proposals.
