The Department of Astronomy at the University of Virginia invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position to work with Prof. Jonathan Tan and Prof. Zhi-Yun Li in the area of Massive Star Formation.

The postdoctoral research associate will conduct research on analysis of SOFIA archival data on massive star formation. The successful candidate will also have access to the Astronomy Department's telescope resources, including the Large Binocular Telescope, the ARC 3.5-m Telescope at Apache Point Observatory, and the telescopes of Steward Observatory (including the ARO).

QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. degree in astronomy or a related field by the starting date of the appointment is required. Experience with radiative transfer modeling is beneficial.
