Job Description: The Program Coordinator II is responsible for working collaboratively with PreClerkship faculty, leadership, and students to plan, develop, and implement the logistical, instructional, and evaluation processes related to the program.


Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Required Experience:

  • Four years of related experience

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
  • Experience working with diverse individuals and communities.

Preferred Education:

  • Master’s degree

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in health services and/or medical education
  • Two (2) year of experience in higher education or project management including some supervisory experience.
  • Experience with learning management system--eCampus and/or Canvas
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and database applications.
  • Experience working with diverse individuals and communities.

    Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to plan and organize effectively.
    • Experience working with diverse individuals and communities

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Serve as a lead coordinator for all course related information and scheduling for PreClerkship Courses. This includes:
    • Oversees coordinator responsibilities and efforts of Coordinator I’s at affiliate sites
    • Ensures all logistical tasks are completed from all PoM sessions (i.e. room reservations/scheduling Zoom sessions)
    • Collaborates with affiliate site Coordinators to ensure proctors and rooms and/or Zoom sessions for examinations are set-up according to COM and NBME Policy.
    • Maintains the learning management system for assigned PoM courses Ensuring affiliate Coordinators are accurately maintaining LMS course content
    • Prepares for- and leading the assigned course initiation meetings
    • Serves as primary administrative liaison with faculty regarding PoM 1-3 courses and scheduling
    • Initiates short and long-term planning goals based on program data and course needs
    • Coordinates the development of new and expanded programs based on evaluations and input from stakeholders
    • Provide PreClerkship Program support to course co-directors, instructors, staff and students
    • Serve as main point of contact for Regular Track PreClerkship Program (Preceptorships, CLRC, etc)
    • Liaise with executive PreClerkship Directors, Co-Course Directors, and Academic Affairs to plan, implement, and evaluate Regular Track PreClerkship courses
    • Serve as lead for assessment and NBME exam logistics
    • Oversee various administrative tasks such as requesting supplies, tracking inventory, and completing course paperwork
    • Collaborate with Program Coordinator Is and course leadership to coordinate logistics and disseminate course materials required of curricular blocks, threads, clerkships and electives within COM’s undergraduate medical education program (UME)
    • Administer curriculum in an e-learning environment utilizing a learning management system application as well as additional required software applications
    • Manage the learning management system for the assigned courses
    • Serve as lead for Clinical Synthesis Integration Exercises (CSIEs) for COM’s undergraduate medical education program (UME)
    • Serve as lead for assessment and NBME exam logistics
    • Assist with Aggie Core Values
    • Engage in two (2) professional activities per academic year
    • Performs other duties as assigned
