JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Pharmacology in Hershey, PA is seeking  a postdoctoral scholar in its Pharmacology Department. This postdoctoral scholar position is available for translational research training in melanoma, focusing on dissecting the underlying biology of the disease, as well as pediatric leukemia.  Fellows will use several cell and animal model systems as well as many state-of-the-art techniques and technologies unravel the biology of melanoma. These include organotypic models, xenograft and transgenic animal models, nanoparticles, flow & filtration systems, MRI and ultrasound technologies.

Applicants must have proven skills and experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, genetics or pharmacology. Basic knowledge of cancer and experience in animal experimentation is preferred but not required.  

Application materials must include an application letter, Curriculum Vita, and the names and contact information of three references.

A Ph.D., M.D., M.D. /Ph.D. or equivalent degree is required.

This is a limited-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with possibility of refunding.
