Counseling & Educational Support - Professional StaffResponsibilities & Duties:
Provide individual, couple, and group counseling via onsite and televisit format
Provide consultation, outreach presentations, and possibly clinical supervision
Contribute to the department’s strategic initiatives to provide services and programs to a diverse student and resident population
Respond to student crises (after-hour on-call is not required)
Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Associate Director
Minimum Qualifications :
Doctorate in Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or Clinical Psychology
Licensed eligible as a Psychologist in Kansas within 3 months of employment
Demonstrated experience providing brief therapy to individuals, couples, and groups
Demonstrated strong clinical and crisis management skills, including ability to work with high acuity students and residents with complex mental health need
Demonstrated multicultural competence in mental health service provision
Experience designing and implementing outreach programs and psychoeducational workshops that promote diversity and social justice
Experience providing clinical supervision and consultation
Superior oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications :
Doctorate completed at APA-accredited program
Predoctoral Internship at an APA accredited internship site
Two or more years post-doctoral clinical experience
Two or more years of experience in a university counseling center
PSYPACT eligible
Experience providing counseling to health science students
