The Department

The Department of Economics is currently looking to further enhance its capabilities seeking to appoint a Professor on a full-time or part-time contract. We seek to elevate our research activity and environment through the support and delivery of influential research publications at leading journals, together with research capacity enhancement through research income generation.

The Department of Economics is part of the triple-accredited Business School. We expect candidates to have a proven potential to publish in the top five journals in Economics and to have the ability to teach our students to an exceptional standard, and willingness to engage in the citizenship services for the department, the university, and the profession. Next Steps

Short-listed candidates will be invited to the University, either virtually or in-person and will have the opportunity to meet key members of the Department. The assessment for the post will normally include a presentation to staff and students in the Department followed by an interview and we anticipate that the assessments and interviews will take place over two days in or around December 2022.
