Job Summary
As a member of a team in the Office for Faculty Affairs at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the Academic Appointments Manager is responsible for managing appointment administration, payroll, and related services for faculty and research appointees for assigned areas within the School.
Position Description
Basic Qualifications
A minimum of three years of administrative experience.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
Required skills and abilities include: cultural sensitivity, ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and faculty, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to work on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service orientation, good judgment, tact, discretion, and flexibility. Proficiency in Word and Excel and ability to work with various database and document management systems. Ability to adapt to new systems and learn new technology quickly.
Physical Requirements
There are no significant physical demands required in this position.
Working Conditions
The work is performed in an office environment.

This position will be based in Allston, MA. Any remote work must be performed in a state in which Harvard is registered to do business (CT, MA, MD, ME, NH, NY, RI, and VT). Individual flexible and remote work options for this role will be discussed during the interview process.
