Job Description
The Eric and Wendy Schmidt AI in Science Postdoctoral Fellowship, a program of Schmidt Futures at UC San Diego, annually supports 10-20 Postdoctoral Fellows with a two-year fellowship to learn to incorporate AI techniques into research in the engineering, mathematical, and natural sciences. Schmidt AI in Science Postdocs receive training and mentoring by experts in their fields of study and AI methods at UC San Diego, empowering them to contribute to a global cohort of scientific leaders pioneering the application of AI in STEM.
Eligibility & Requirements
Applicants must obtain the sponsorship of a faculty member at UC San Diego who is willing to serve as their primary faculty mentor. Must have received PhD before beginning their appointment. Schmidt AI in Science Postdocs Program Application Form Research statement. Letter of nomination from the applicant’s primary (STEM) faculty mentor at UC San Diego. Two additional letters of recommendation.
