Nature of Work
The Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension is internationally renowned for its clinical and research programs. In addition, as one of the largest Nephrology research and training program in the country, the Division is also internationally recognized for its role in producing academic leaders in Nephrology. The Division has trained a large number of academic Nephrology physicians in this country who are currently practicing. The Division consists of over 50 faculty located in three hospitals and one research institute. These include University of Colorado Hospital, Denver Veterans Administration Hospital, and Denver Health. The Division Mission is to develop the next generation of leaders in Nephrology through its transformative research, comprehensive career development, and world-class care. The Division Vision is to be the source of superior healthcare, push boundaries of discovery, advance medical education and create hope for patients with kidney disease through cutting edge treatments and kidney transplantation.
The Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking an outstanding physician-scientist or PhD-scientist in the area of polycystic kidney disease (PKD). This individual will contribute to research, and other programmatic missions of the PKD translational research group.

Supervision Exercised
The Assistant or Associate Professor will not supervise other employees.
The position will provide training and mentoring to graduate students and/or postdoctoral fellows, etc., however, it will not be responsible for hiring, terminating and approving leave for other employees.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established at
Assistant Professor: $74,000 to $185,000
Associate Professor: $104,00 to $229,000
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Assistant Professor-
MD, MD/PhD, PhD, DO, or international equivalent terminal degree.
Proven record of academic leadership abilities, as well as a demonstrated commitment to education and mentoring.
