Salary & Benefits: Starting Salary is $58,125. There is currently a Market Adjustment, subject to annual review, in the amount of $11,500 in addition to the base salary. Additional teaching opportunities may be available for additional compensation based upon departmental need. Compensation package is comprised of many college paid benefits including health and life insurance, retirement, vacation and sick leave time, and tuition waivers for Santa Fe College and the University of Florida.

As an Assistant Professor in Programming and Analysis, you will be a vital member of the ITE Associate Science and Bachelor of Applied Science programs, which are housed at the College’s brand new state-of-the-art instructional site in downtown Gainesville, FL.
Santa Fe College 12-month ITE faculty have a contract based on teaching and/or other duties equal to 42 semester credit hours of assigned work each year. Additional teaching opportunities may be available for extra compensation based upon departmental need. Course offerings within ITE may be taught during the day, evening, online, or on site at any of our educational centers.
Reports to: Academic Chair, Information Technology Education
Required: A Master’s degree in a qualifying field, or master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields, or alternative academic major related to Information Technology and/or qualifying fields and 3 – 5 years of work-related experience in the field with demonstrated evidence of proficiency.
Preferred: A doctoral degree in a qualifying field and/or long-term industry experience. Knowledge of a C-based language, scripted languages, SQL, and database management is preferred. Certifications: Industry standard certification in Cloud based technology, in AWS or Azure or Google.
Additional Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted.
