Drs. Smith, Vassalos, Silva, and Thayer at Clemson University are seeking applications for a post-doctoral fellow in agriculture and applied economics with experience in designing, conducting and analyzing surveys.
The ideal candidate would have a strong background in econometrics and production agriculture as well as knowledge of input-output modeling.
The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of researchers on the economics of climate smart practices for agricultural commodities and analysis to evaluate impacts of adoption.
Experience working with producer and stakeholder groups is a plus. Some exposure and understanding of Extension are preferred. Knowledge of technology adoption, producer decision making and risk management is ideal.
Anticipated start date is summer 2023. The appointment will be for one year with options for yearly renewal for up to three years based on performance.
Minimum Requirements:
• A PhD degree in agricultural economics, economics, or closely related field
• Experience designing, conducting, and analyzing surveys
Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated experience working with agricultural producers
