Department Summary

The Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact is a billion-dollar initiative designed to fast-track scientific discoveries and the process of turning those discoveries into innovations that improve the quality of life for people in Oregon, the nation and beyond. The Knight Campus will reshape the higher education landscape in Oregon by training the next generations of scientists, forging tighter ties with industry and entrepreneurs and creating new educational opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students.

Position Summary

Post doctoral scholars (post docs) are limited duration, funding contingent appointments for one year with a possible renewal for another two years (three years total appointment length). Post docs conduct research under the direction of a faculty member for the purpose of acquiring research training. The expectation is that the post doc will conduct laboratory research, quantitative analysis, prepare manuscripts and grant applications and present data and findings to internal and external audiences.


Minimum Requirements



  • PhD in from an accredited institution of higher education in a field relevant to the PI’s research program
