Full job description

Functioning somewhat independently, the Postdoctoral Fellow will work on several funded projects. The primary area of research involves women’s health and health disparities. The Fellow will be trained by and work with the director of the Martha S. Pitzer Center for Women, Children and Youth.

 

Minimum Education Required, degree level and focus area:

PhD in health-related field (nursing applied behavioral sciences, health behavior, health policy, social behavioral health, epidemiology, or public health), strong academic writing skills and ability to work independently and with a team.

 

Minimum Years of Experience Required:

0-2 years

Have peer-reviewed publications and critical thinking skills.

Our faculty conduct research across a variety of healthcare, community- based, and educational settings, and manage active, funded research programs through our two research centers: the Martha S. Pitzer Center for Women, Children and Youth, and the Center for Healthy Aging, Self-Management and Complex Care. We are seeking faculty to provide contributions across a wide array of areas, including social determinants of health, health services research, the use of emerging technologies, and across the lifespan.

 

The Martha S. Pitzer Center for Women, Children and Youth of The Ohio State University College of Nursing Ranked in the top 15 in National Institutes of Health funding among U.S. colleges of nursing. The Pitzer Center faculty have active federally-funded programs of research in the areas of maternal/infant health, women’s health, cancer prevention, control and survivorship, care of children and infants with complex health needs, pediatric obesity and pediatric health services research.
